Natalie Beattie SWYSS Sponsored racer wins Slalom and GS in Scottish Champs - April 09
Natalie Beattie had not been on the radar coming into the last major races before the British championships. The gasps from the crowd as she came down from the back of the field to beat the best of the British Children were audible up the sides of the course. While the likes of Emily Evans and Imogen Taylor had been expected to challenge at the top of the field, Beattie's arrival was a breath of fresh air and certainly spiced up the racing. Beattie lives and breathes France yet with a Scottish father, there was no way that she would be allowed to pass up this opportunity to show how good she is. Two strong runs in slalom saw her take two wins at ease. Many Podium trained skiers went over to Germany to try for the Eurotest with fantastic results, many passed with some as close to 0.5secs off the openers, just more proof that Dave Morris and his Podium team are the best around.
